Ohio’s Third Frontier will be issuing Requests for Proposals (RFPs) in late July 2009 for the Advanced Energy FY2010 Program.  To help Northeast Ohio companies, entrepreneurs, and academic research institutions prepare for this upcoming RFP process, NorTech is hosting a half-day, intensive workshop covering  various aspects of writing winning Third Frontier proposals, focused on advanced energy technologies.

William (Bill) Timmons, Ph.D., founder of CGK Consultants, LLC will facilitate the workshop session and present helpful tips, "how to" lessons, and sample case studies of successful proposals that have received funding. Dr. Timmons has over 25 years experience in technology innovation and development. His team has helped raise more than $80 million in grants for their clients, with a federal success rate of more than twice the national average, and a state success rate over 70%.  Robert Garrick and Matt Lozykowski of CGK Consultants will also be available to answer questions and assist workshop attendees.

The workshop is a great opportunity to prepare for the upcoming Advanced Energy RFP and connect with potential collaborators for your advanced energy projects. Individuals that are seriously considering submitting a proposal for Ohio's Third Frontier Advanced Energy Program in FY2010 should attend this workshop. In fall 2009, NorTech plans to host additional advanced energy grant writing workshops focused on federal opportunities through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
